I am a software engineer and a long-time audiobook listener. Leelaa Reader began with a simple need: to manage my own library and listen reliably without handing my content to a cloud platform.
I wanted a quiet, dependable service that could run on a NAS for years, keep listening data under my control, and work naturally across the devices I use every day.
After years of design, rebuilding, and daily use, that personal tool gradually became Leelaa Reader.
Today it includes a self-hosted server, web access, official mobile and in-car clients, and an open API for supported third-party apps. These parts share the same library and account-based listening data.
The goal remains unchanged: keep library management practical, playback dependable, progress accurate, and long-term self-hosting straightforward.

- 【Player】Fixed an issue where some previous- or next-chapter commands could be ignored when switching chapters rapidly through system media controls. Commands are now completed one at a time in the order received.
- 【Profile】Improved the Online Update page with Web interface and backend status shown side by side. Opening the page now reads local status only, while administrators can check each update on demand and more clearly see whether the current environment supports installation or rollback.
