Book Management
Book Management is used to inspect and maintain all book records, including metadata edits, chapter adjustments, and data recovery.
Entry Paths
- Left navigation -> Book Management
- Or: Storage -> open target library -> Book Management
Core Actions
- Edit book: open the editor and switch among Basic, Chapters, and Subtitles in the title area.
- Edit metadata: update title, author, cover, description, and category tags in Basic, then save changes.
- Manage chapters: restore the default order, save manual moves, or preview AI organization before applying it.
- Book subtitles: start, resume, or stop transcription for this book, then proofread generated text. Global jobs and service setup live in Subtitle Management.
- Delete / restore: soft-delete and recovery are supported to avoid irreversible mistakes. Delete Book appears only in Basic.
Book Editor
- Basic keeps cover, metadata, description, and categories together. Online scraping stays in preview until you save.
- Chapters keep AI organization as the primary action. Restore Default rewrites order immediately from filenames and chapter numbers.
- Subtitles show coverage for this book. Generated subtitles can be edited for typos; timestamps stay read-only.
- The cover stays square. Switching tabs does not fade the whole page.
Notes
- Book data usually comes from scanning and scraping. Finish scans before large edits.
- If chapter counts look abnormal, verify WebDAV paths and source audio integrity first.
