License Transfer
Move license state to a new server with an encrypted transfer file and submit a rebinding request.
Purpose
License Transfer moves the license state from the current server to a new server. It uses an encrypted, one-time .lltf transfer file and does not export raw private keys or reusable high-value credentials.
Entry Path
- Web administrator: Profile > Administrator Features > License Transfer.
- Page route:
/system/license-transfer. - An inactive administrator can open this page to restore a license. Regular users cannot perform a transfer.
Transfer Flow
- Open License Transfer on the old server and verify the current administrator password.
- Set a transfer-file password, export the
.lltffile, and store both the file and password securely. - Install Leelaa Reader on the new server, sign in as an administrator, and open License Transfer.
- Select the transfer file and enter its password. The system checks its signature, source device, and transfer state first.
- Confirm the request and follow the page result to complete license rebinding.
Limits and Notes
- The transfer file handles license state only. It does not contain libraries, audio files, users, playback progress, or application settings.
- A transfer file contains a one-time identifier and cannot be submitted again after successful use. It does not expire merely because time has passed since export, but it must still be stored securely and never shared publicly.
- License restore or rebinding has a default seven-day cooldown. The cooldown is not a transfer-file expiry period; follow the status returned by the page and license service.
- License Transfer is separate from Import & Export, which is currently unavailable.
- If the old server is no longer accessible or validation fails, follow the page error and contact license support.
