Review the live service port and tune scan, transcoding, and maintenance settings with switches and readable units.
Scan and Concurrency
Advanced Settings lets administrators tune scan concurrency and task timeouts for the available hardware and network conditions.
Minimum Media Files per Book
A folder is recognized as a book only when it contains at least this many media files. The default is 5, and the allowed range is 1 to 100. The new value applies to scans started after a restart and does not automatically delete or recategorize books that are already in the library. Single-file M4B titles still follow their dedicated detection rule.
Service Port
The current HTTP port is decided by the startup environment. Advanced Settings shows the port the process is actually listening on and does not let you rewrite container mappings or reverse-proxy rules from the page.
- Local development typically shows
3000. - Standard Docker typically shows
8686. - Saving other settings does not change the port.
- To expose a different port, change
PORT, the container mapping, or the reverse proxy, then restart the service.
Transcoding and Read Limits
- FFmpeg transcoding uses an on/off switch instead of a
0/1field. It is on by default and takes effect after a restart. - Maximum chapter read size is shown in MB (
1–100 MB, default25 MB) and stored as bytes. Historical values you did not edit are left unchanged.
Maintenance Options
The page also exposes maintenance settings such as temporary-file cleanup and SQLite WAL mode. Restore Defaults only changes editable items; the read-only listening port stays as-is. Values that require a restart continue to take effect when the service starts.
