Manage multiple addresses for the same service and select a healthy route for the current network.

When to Use It ​

Network Service Settings helps when the same Leelaa Reader server is available through multiple routes, such as a fast home network address, a public DDNS or reverse-proxy address, or an FNOS proxy login.

Open Network Service Settings ​

  • After signing in: Open Me -> Settings & Preferences -> Network Service Settings.
  • Before signing in: Use the network settings action in the current connection section on the login page.

Both entries open the same Network Service Settings page in the iOS or Android App.

Add a Service ​

Tap + in the upper-right corner and choose an option:

  • Add Direct Service: Select HTTP or HTTPS, then enter a service name and host such as 192.168.1.10:8686 or reader.example.com. Before saving, the App checks reachability, duplicate addresses, and service identity.
  • FNOS QR Login: Scan the FNOS login QR code, confirm the service name, then save and switch. Scan again when the login expires or needs to be updated; FNOS proxy addresses cannot be edited directly.

A direct service can be set as current while it is saved. If the target is unavailable, the App keeps the current working service.

Manage Service Nodes ​

  • Switch manually: Tap an enabled node that is not current. The App checks its availability and service identity before switching.
  • Change priority: Drag the handle on the left of a node. Direct nodes show their current priority.
  • Enable or disable: Use the switch on the right to control whether a node participates in switching and automatic selection. At least one node must remain enabled.
  • Edit: Update the name or address of a direct node. Scan again to update an FNOS node.
  • Remove: Delete an address that is no longer needed. At least one service node must remain.

Automatic Service Selection ​

Auto-select service is off by default. When enabled and multiple nodes are active, the App checks them in parallel and selects the fastest healthy route.

Automatic selection runs when:

  • The App starts
  • The network recovers
  • You pull down to refresh the Home page

The App does not switch when the current node is already the best option. If every check fails, it keeps the current node. A Home-page refresh only shows a message after an actual switch or when automatic selection fails.

Service Identity and Saved State ​

  • Every node must be another address for the same Leelaa Reader service. When signed in, the App rejects an address belonging to a different service.
  • The same normalized address cannot be added twice.
  • The current node and automatic selection setting are stored locally and reused the next time the App starts.
  • A failed manual or automatic switch does not clear the current service, session, playback queue, or progress.
  • Keep separate entries for home Wi-Fi and remote access.
  • Use descriptive names such as "Home Wi-Fi", "Remote Domain", and "Backup".
  • Test an edited address immediately so it is ready before the current network becomes unavailable.

Common Messages ​

  • Target service unavailable: Check the address, port, reverse proxy, and current network.
  • Address belongs to another service: The target is not another route to the current service and cannot join this node list.
  • Service address already exists: The normalized address is already saved.
  • Keep at least one service node: The last node cannot be deleted.
  • Keep at least one enabled service: The last enabled node cannot be disabled.
